Animal print has been all the rage for years. It’s a trend that has yet to go out of style and rightfully so. Their ability to be styled in any way is what keeps them popular. However, some of these prints look really similar. Even popular companies get them confuse them. Let’s go over what each of these prints look like!
Cheetah
Arguably, cheetah print is the most popular of animal prints. But, it is also the one people often get the most confused with. Cheetah print has solid, black dots with a light, tan skin. An easy way to remember this is comparing this print to polka dots!

Leopard
Leopard print is what many people think cheetah print is. Also, it’s my favorite of the prints! This print features rosettes. They are the black shapes that make up leopard print. They get their name due to the shape looking similar to a rose.

Jaguar
Jaguar can be described as a mixture of cheetah and leopard. It has rosettes and small, black dots. The dots will be inside of the rosettes. Sometimes, the rosettes will be larger than the leopard’s print.

Tortoise
You’ve probably seen this print in home decor and accessories rather than clothes. Unlike the other prints, this one doesn’t really have any defined shapes. However, the color scheme is similar. The black spots will appear smeared or fluid like.

How To Style
Animal print does not have to be difficult to style. I suggest pairing these patterns with solid colors. Because it is already an eye-catching pattern, you don’t have to dress it up. This way, it can still be paired with any type of clothes whether the print is a shirt, shorts, pants, or a skirt.
A similar thing can be said when styling in home decor too. If you are trying to integrate these prints into your home, start with little things first. Maybe add a lamp on your nightstand and see how it fits into your room. A rug is also a great way to feature animal print if you are looking for a bigger staple piece.
One of my favorite things about these prints is that they can be incorporated no matter what your style is. The prints don’t always come in the same color as the animal. So, if you want to stick to one color, you can! So N Crowd, how will you give animal prints a try?
