Taste of Chicago is back for 2023, and this year, it’s celebrating Hip Hop 50. The annual food festival will feature a lineup of hip hop legends, including Doug E. Fresh, EPMD, KRS-One, and Slick Rick. Other performers include singer-songwriter Lupita Infante, trailblazing Dominican-American hip hop group Proyecto Uno, and Chicago-based band Whitney.

In addition to the music, Taste of Chicago will also feature a wide variety of food from over 35 vendors. There will be everything from classic Chicago favorites like deep dish pizza and Italian beef to more exotic fare from around the world.
The festival will also have a number of family-friendly activities, including a kids’ zone with games, rides, and face painting. And of course, no Taste of Chicago would be complete without the beer garden, which will feature a variety of local and national craft beers.
Taste of Chicago is a free event, and it’s one of the best ways to experience the best of Chicago food and culture. So mark your calendars for September 8-10, and head to Grant Park for a weekend of fun.
