Apple TV+ has released a first look at “The Changeling,” an upcoming drama series starring LaKeith Stanfield. The series is based on the acclaimed best-selling book of the same name by Victor LaValle, and is a dark and disturbing look at the human psyche.
The series follows Apollo, a widower who moves into a new home with his young son only to discover that the house is haunted by a mysterious entity. As Apollo and his son try to unravel the mystery of the changeling, they begin to question their own sanity and the nature of reality itself.

Stanfield is a perfect casting for the role of Apollo. He has a knack for playing complex and troubled characters, as evidenced by his performances in films such as Get Out, Atlanta, Judas and the Black Messiah, and Sorry to Bother You. He’s a gifted actor with a wide range, which will allow him to bring the character of Apollo to life in all his complexity.
In addition to “The Changeling,” Stanfield has also starred in a number of other films, including “Waves,” and “The Photograph.” He is a rising star in Hollywood, and his performance in this series is sure to be one of the highlights of the upcoming television season.

“The Changeling” is written and adapted by showrunner and executive producer Kelly Marcel, and is directed by Melina Matsoukas. It also stars Clark Backo, Adina Porter, Samuel T. Herring, Alexis Louder, Jared Abrahamson, and Malcolm Barrett.
The series will make its global debut with the first three episodes on Friday, September 8, 2023 on Apple TV+, followed by one episode weekly through October 13.
