Fall is frequently named when asked about the best time of year. It’s understandable, honestly. The leaves are changing, there is a cool breeze in the air, and we get some delicious food. Coffee shops start putting out there fall menu, and I know I’m not the only one excited for that. During this time, college students are also going through midterms and people are planning for holidays. It’s hard to find time in between to do little things, like make a meal.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to run to my dorm to make a sandwich in between classes. This is where no-bake treats come in. They have been an absolute lifesaver during the school year! With simple ingredients, you can make snacks and treats that don’t take much of your time.
The best part? You can make these snacks ahead of time. It’s so important to allow yourself to rest during your busy schedule. Wellness doesn’t just have to be finding the perfect source of protein or fiber. It can be finding small ways to take care of yourself.
Bark
The sweet of chocolates and the saltiness of pretzels make a delicious combo. Chocolate does not take long to harden. Pop these in the fridge for a few minutes, and you’re set! There are so many variations of this during the holidays. During December, you might hear this be called “Christmas candy”!
Chocolate Acorns
Okay, first of all, are these not the cutest things ever? I could totally see these as a party snack or after-class treat. Here’s a fun fact: acorns are the main food source for wild animals like squirrels and deer. Why fight the squirrels when you can make your own?
Cannoli Dip
I’m a huge fan of one bowl recipes. Having to wash dishes during a busy fall schedule is icing on the cake of a fast-paced lifestyle. This one bowl cannoli dip only takes few ingredients and a bit of time. If you don’t have a mixer or just want something you can grab, Aldi sells cannoli dip for under $5. They also have a salted caramel version!
Snack Platter
I don’t know about you guys, but most days I end up snacking rather than eating a meal. A snack plate is the perfect option if you’re in between meetings or classes. It’s also super customizable! For mine, I usually have cheese, grapes, cucumber, and some slices of turkey—a recipe for yumminess.
Clusters
Pomegranates are the ultimate fall fruit, in my opinion. Apples, pears, or nuts would could also make a yummy snack alternative that you can make these clusters out of. Just add yogurt or peanut butter. Unlike the bark, which is usually broken up, you can make these cluster snacks individually!
While fall is loved by many, late October is where many people feel their seasonal depression kick in. As a result, it could be hard to get up and cook during that time. Having these simple recipes will take away one less stressful thing. Which one of these recipes will you try N Crowd?
