Autopsy Reveals Ms. Jacky Oh! Cause of Death Four Months Later
Autopsy officials have released new details surrounding Wild N’ Out‘s Ms. Jacky Oh! cause of death. The entertainer who rose to fame on the MTV and VH1 improv show was found unresponsive in a Miami hotel room on May 31. A rep for the city’s police department later reported that the star was pronounced dead at the hospital. She was just 33 years old.

Now, four months after her death, Jacky Oh! whose real name is Jacklyn Smith, autopsy reveals that her cause of death was due to complications from cosmetic surgery. The manner of Smith’s death was determined an accident. Just one day before her sudden death, Jacky Oh! had a “gluteal augmentation procedure.” According to the autopsy report, she had liposuction and body fat transferred to her butt.
Post-surgery, Smith was prescribed an antibiotic called ciprofloxacin, oxycodone, and generic Zofran ondansetron, a medication that prevents nausea and vomiting. However, reports say that she was advised to take ibuprofen due to headaches and pain, instead of the ondansetron. According to the cause of death report obtained by Page Six, the model and influencer was with her aunt on the night of her death when she felt her head “burning” and had “difficulty speaking.”
Smith’s aunt called 911, but by the time authorities arrived, she was unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the hospital around 11 p.m. TMZ reports that officials say that she suffered swelling on the brain and bleeding of her skin near her torso.
The San Francisco native was raised by a single father and a graduate of University of California, Berkley. Jacky became a member of Nick Cannon’s Wild N’ Out in 2014 during season six. She is survived by her partner and Wild N’ Out co-star, DC Young Fly and their children, Nova, 6, Nala 3, and Prince’Nehemiah, 14 months.
