The Odyssey movie premiere has hit the streets of London, and we are star-struck over these red carpet looks! Let’s not play. Anne Hathaway, a timeless beauty, and mother-to-be is embracing that mama bear vibe in her baby-blue Dior gown. With this being said, I cannot wait to see how those maternal instincts translate into her role as Odysseus’s wife, Penelope. However, her co-star Zendaya, who plays Athena in the film, blows fans out of the water in a fresh-off-the-runway Schiaparelli dress.
The recreation of Homer’s epic comes out in the United States on July 17, 2026. I know where I will be! As an English major, I am really looking forward to this movie. Right when you think there are enough adaptations of Greek mythology, they bring out the queen of all actresses to become a part of the story, Zendaya! I think Homer would be proud. If you’re not amazed yet, The Odyssey is only one major film that Zendaya is a part of this Summer. The greatly anticipated Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be in theaters on July 31!

The Dress and History of Athena
Athena, an Olympian goddess born from the head of Zeus, is known for her good counsel, war tactics, and defense of towns. Zendaya breathlessly portrays the goddess as the gown showcases a sturdy breastplate, similar to armor. Athena not only represents confidence and strength, but also femininity. Ethereal nature is visible in the fragility of the bottom part of the dress. In an almost glass-like teardrop appearance, the Schiaparelli dress is the perfect combination of beauty and strength. The dress also lights up, which adds yet another mystical element to depict the goddess of war.
We feel like this dress is straight from the summit of Mount Olympus!
