Spring has officially sprung on the farm, N, Crowd!
From beautiful flower arrangements to Easter treats- Wilson’s Orchard has it all! This family-owned farm dates all the way back to the 1800’s. According to Wilson’s Orchard history, “the site of the orchard was purchased by German immigrants, Leonhard and Catherine Degen Brack.” The descendants still live in Johnson County to this day.
No matter what you’re looking for this Spring, the Wilsons offer a variety of activities for a solo date, romantic getaway, or fun with friends! The establishment hosts seasonal pickings from the orchard, the Farm Market (yum!), Wilson’s Cider House Venue, and a year-round pizza and cider stand. As a self-proclaimed foodie, I can advocate for their pepperoni pizza and blueberry-infused cider!

And the view is gorgeous!
Seasonal Picking
Starting in mid-April, the farm kicks off Spring with fresh tulip picking. Multiple fields of flowers are accessible for only a $5 admission fee! Hint: Unlimited flowers are included. From personal experience, The Market also offers cutting shears to visitors for an additional price. If you’re not able to roam the fields, these Spring flowers are available in a prepacked bouquet! For those with a sweet tooth, raspberry and strawberry picking will start in June. The price for each product remains the same year-round. Be sure to check out everything Wilson’s has to offer!

More Delicious Farm Treats
All of Wilson’s fruity bakery items are “harvest-fresh” ingredients that grow in the orchard. The menu has an impressive array of pies, turnovers, donuts, and other treats. The bakery, famously known as The Farm Market, has become so popular that the business has started selling frozen take-and-bake goods. This way, their seasonal favorites are available at any time of the year! For those wondering, there is no secret recipe to hide here. The Wilsons graciously share their recipes online and for purchase in The Farm Market.
Come support local Iowa farmers and visit Wilson’s Orchard this Spring season!
