This year’s Oscar Awards encouraged celebrities to truly embody the sea, with the official red carpet theme being “under the sea”. Many celebrities decided to do their own thing, but those who followed the theme killed it.
Stars harnessed their inner Little Mermaid , incorporating the lush coral reef and crystal blue waters of the ocean through red carpet fashion.
The rockstar grandmothers from Sean Wang’s Oscar-nominated documentary Nai Nai & Wai Po pulled up dressed in tropical floral suits. Though their outfits stayed above the sea, they definitely had the best looks, showing everyone that bright colors have no age!
Yi Yan Fuei and Chang Li Hua wore orange floral suits from the LA-based brand Rodarte, giving off classy but tropical vibes. They were celebrity favorites, as seen with actress Jamie Lee Curtis on the red carpet.
