Nina Dobrev, however, needs to be awarded the crown of all post-breakup glow ups. According to People Magazine, it was confirmed that the 36-year-old actress recently split from her fiancé, Shaun White, on September 11. But there aren’t any mascara streaks on The Vampire Diaries star’s face. In fact, Dobrev wowed the crowds during her appearance for the Eternity premiere.
The Buzz Behind Dobrev and White’s Split
In October 2024, Dobrev announced her engagement to the Olympic snowboarder in a dreamy Instagram post. The caption perfectly captured the exciting moment: “RIP boyfriend, hello fiancé.” Fans were ecstatic to see Dobrev finally get her happy ending surrounded by candles and roses. So why the breakup? Per People magazine, a few sources speculated there was polar ideas about getting married and having children. Others, as the magazine details, added the complete opposite. Despite the varying rumors, a source close to the pair told People that the breakup was a “mutual decision, and wasn’t an easy one, but it was made with love and a deep respect for one another.”
Regardless, Dobrev and White have remained relatively quiet about the breakup. In a recent TikTok, Dobrev is seen dancing to Gladdest‘s viral song, “Done With Your EX.” Could this be a reference to the split? Many fans think so. But Dobrev has seemed to keep a positive attitude about the whole situation, and we can’t help but scream “Go, girl!”
