It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Brandon Smiley, the son of beloved comedian Rickey Smiley. Brandon was 32 years old at the time of his passing.
Rickey Smiley announced the tragic news on social media, stating that his son had passed away on January 29th, 2023. He wrote,
“I lost my oldest son #BrandonSmiley this morning. I’m okay, but please pray for my son’s mother Brenda, his siblings and his daughter Storm.”
No cause of death has been announced as of yet, however Rickey shared a heartfelt message/video on social media asking for people to pray for him at this difficult time.
Fans and fellow comedians have taken to social media to express their condolences and support for Rickey and his family. Many have shared memories of Brandon and how much he was loved.
Brandon Smiley was a talented young man with a bright future ahead of him. He was also a talented comedian/ actor like his father.
This is a difficult time for Rickey Smiley and his family, and our thoughts and prayers are with them. Brandon Smiley will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and fans. We hope that they can find some comfort in the memories they shared with him.
