Marvel has officially fired Jonathan Majors amid the guilty verdict of domestic abuse. Majors, who has been starring as Kang The Conqueror in Disney’s Marvel television series, Loki, was found guilty of assaulting ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, on Monday afternoon Dec. 18. According to Variety, a source close to Marvel Studios confirmed the drop this evening.
The 34-year-old was found guilty of two misdemeanor counts of harassment and assault. However, he was acquitted on two other counts. The jury found the actor not guilty on one count of intentional assault in the third degree and one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree. Majors seated alongside his attorneys and with the support of his on current girlfriend, Meagan Good, did not react when the verdict was read.
Majors was arrested earlier this year, March 25 on assault and harassment charges after his ex-girlfriend accused him of assaulting her in the back seat of a private vehicle. According to Jabbari, the former Lovecraft Country actor hit her on the back of the head after a dispute surrounding a text message he received from another woman.

Majors denied all accusations and continued to declare his innocence throughout the trial. Since his arrest, he has been dropped by his talent manager, Entertainment 360, and his publicity firm. In addition to his drop from Marvel, the actor was also pulled from a campaign associated with The U.S. Army and the Texas Rangers baseball team. However, Majors association with Marvel as his role of Kang will be the biggest establishment by far to affect his career.
Marvel’s Original Plans Jonathan Majors as Kang Across the Multiverse
Marvel created endless versions of Kang across the multiverse. All of which Majors was intended to be a part of them. The premise of Kang was first shared in the release of Marvel’s release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which premiered in theaters in February of this year. Continuing the story of Kang, the 34-year-old played a variant of Kang named Victor Timely in Season 2 of Loki on Disney+. Following the character of Victor, Majors was expected to headline the first part to the Multiverse Saga, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, which was originally set to start shooting early next year. According to Variety, there could be a possibility of pivoting away from Kang to bring focus to another villain.
Jonathan Majors returns to court for his sentencing date Feb. 6, 2024. He faces up to a year in prison, which could be reduced to probation.
