Although the cheating has put the R&B singer’s personal life into the spotlight, she’s in an era of great professional and personal growth as she releases new music and prepares for her 2026 tour, Hearts Sold Separately.

Mariah stood by Young Thug during his RICO case that led him to lock up within the first six months of their four-year relationship. He was denied bond due to his association with the Young Slime Life gang. He served 900 days in jail in Cobb County, Georgia.
Calls have been leaked from his time in jail, including several private conversations he probably would’ve rather kept that way. In one of those conversations, he confirmed that he cheated on Mariah the Scientist before being locked up—which left fans enraged. He went to X to beg for forgiveness from Mariah. This desperation culminated in a new track he released to apologize to several figures mentioned in the calls.

Neither Young Thug nor Mariah the Scientist confirmed their split, but cryptic tweets after the scandal suggest it’s over. After this, Mariah has been hyped up by Miami online, exactly what she needs in such a busy time.
