Lori Harvey and Damson Idris have announced their breakup after one year of dating. The couple confirmed the split in a joint statement shared exclusively with The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday.
“We are at a point in our lives where our individual paths require our full attention and dedication. We part ways remaining friends with nothing but love and respect for each other and the time we shared together.”
Harvey, 26, is the daughter of Steve Harvey, the Emmy Award-winning comedian and television host. Idris, 29, is a British actor best known for his role as Franklin Saint in the FX drama Snowfall.
The couple first sparked dating rumors in December 2022 when they were spotted leaving a West Hollywood restaurant together. According to THR, they made their relationship social media official a month later when Idris posted a photo of them on his Instagram Story. The two could be seen embracing in the photo as the Outside the Wire actor kissed Harvey on the cheek. Idris also wrote in the post, “Happy Birthday Nunu” followed by a red heart emoji.

Harvey has been linked to a number of high-profile celebrities in the past, including Dutch footballer Memphis Depay, actor Michael B. Jordan, rapper Future, and singer Trey Songz. Idris does not have any confirmed relationship history before Lori Harvey. He was rumored to be seeing rapper Saweetie, but he denied those rumors in an interview with The Breakfast Club. He also said that he is single and focused on his career. He has not publicly dated anyone else besides Lori Harvey
Despite the breakup, both Harvey and Idris seem to be on good terms.
Harvey and Idris’ breakup is just the latest in a string of high-profile celebrity splits this year. Other couples who have called it quits in 2023 include Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert, Jeezy and Jeannie Mai, Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez, and Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Jackman.
