Issa Rae is back at it again, this time with a new wine brand called ViaRae. That’s right, the actress and producer is now a winemaker too.
If you’re a fan of Issa’s hit HBO show Insecure, you know that her character, Issa Dee, loves Prosecco. So it’s no surprise that Issa’s new wine is a Prosecco. But this isn’t just any Prosecco. This is Viarae Prosecco, and it’s made with love by Issa herself. Founding her own Prosecco label was a natural next step for the creative trailblazer to explore and one she has been working on for several years.

Insecure Cast mates Celebrate Viarae Prosecco
The official launch party for Viarae took place last night in New York City. The event was attended by a number of Rae’s friends and colleagues, including Insecure cast mates Lil Rel Howery and Jean Elie.
Other celebrity guests included: Cynthia Erivo, Lena Waithe, Serayah, and Tristan Mack Wilds
Rae shared a video of the launch party on social media, and it looked like a lot of fun. The video shows Rae and her guests enjoying Viarae Prosecco and dancing the night away.
Elie posted a photo of himself and on social media, and he wrote,
“Raise a glass with @viaraewines in celebration of community and kinship.
Oh, in the second slide, I couldn’t resist donning my top-notch sales skills, highlighting the drink’s incredible versatility, especially when paired with whiskey.”
