The wedding bells rang for Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen on Saturday, May 31. The American actress, singer, and football quarterback announced their engagement in November 2024. Allen popped the question beneath a stunning floral arrangement with the Malibu sunset as the perfect backdrop.
In Steinfeld’s Beau Society Newsletter Q&A, Allen reflected on the funny start to the day just before their proposal:
“The funniest thing was that we woke up and were getting ready for brunch and you jumped on the bed and said, ‘Can we get married already?!? What are you waiting for??!’ I replied, ‘Just give me a little more time.’ Little did you know I was about to propose to you…”
When it came to nerves before the big question, the quarterback shared the sweetest insight about their engagement: “I think I was most nervous about you finding out about the proposal. It was hard to keep secrets from you and have other people in your life keep secrets from you. Multiple times throughout the day, a song would come on and I would tear up thinking about how special our day was going to be.”
“It [felt] unbelievable to be engaged to someone who is so special and loving and caring and gorgeous and fun and happy,” the 29-year-old added in the Q&A, according to E! News.
Steinfeld and Allen are nothing short of couple goals, and fans were thrilled to see photos from their “happily ever after” ceremony on May 31. The 28-year-old Sinners star wore a beautiful fitted white gown paired with lacy gloves. Steinfeld’s hair was pulled back into a sleek bun, pairing perfectly with her veil and giving off that timeless, blushing bride energy. Allen stood beside her in a sharp black-and-white tux, a white flower pinned to his suit.
They were all smiles on their wedding day — no doubt one of the sweetest celebrity couples you’ve ever seen. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Allen!
