Euphoria’s Multitude of New Cast

It has been more than three years since the Euphoria season two finale, and we finally have an idea when season three might release. HBO has not yet shared an exact date for season three, but the show’s official social media accounts have confirmed it will arrive in the spring of 2026.

Created by Sam Levinson, the Emmy-winning teen drama premiered in 2019. It follows the story of Rue (Zendaya), who is a recovering teen addict navigating a high school full of sex, drugs, scandal, and betrayal.

What’s Taking So Long?

Wondering why season three, which was greenlit back in 2022, is taking so long? It could be because the powerhouse of an ensemble they have. Zendaya’s stardom has only risen since the series debut. Same could be said for supporting actors Colman Domingo, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, and Sydney Sweeney, each having come up in Hollywood in their own way. Working around their busy schedules can’t be easy, along with the Hollywood actors and screenwriters strikes of 2023.

We also don’t know what will happen in season three, as we can only go from Zendaya confirming there would be a time jump. “It’s important because there’s only so much high school drama you can deal with,” she said to Entertainment Weekly.

She added, “It will be fascinating to see and understand these characters outside of the context of high school…and who they become in a much bigger world.”
