Disney returned with a presentation at CinemaCon last week, highlighting the many films and TV shows they have planned for the future. The presentation delivered with several major reveals, including the highly anticipated first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday.
Fans who attended were treated to new looks at Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, Toy Story 5, the Moana live-action remake, and much more.
Many people were unprepared for what was coming, a showcase packed with new content from Disney, Star Wars, Pixar, Marvel, Searchlight, and 20th Century titles.

Avengers: Doomsday First Trailer Revealed At CinemaCon
The big surprise and finale of Disney’s panel was the presentation of Avengers: Doomsday. Kevin Feige and the Russo Brothers began by sharing their admiration for Victor Von Doom, also known as Dr. Doom, the main villain. They called him one of the greatest comic book villains ever.
After that moment of admiration, they brought out Robert Downey Jr., who takes on the role of Dr.Doom in this chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, leaving behind the Iron Man persona that made him a household name. RDJ came out on the stage wearing a Dr.Doom shirt, tagging along to help introduce the trailer.
The trailer opens with Professor Xavier at the X-Men mansion. He notices a bright light in the sky and warns that something is coming. The scene then shifts to a brief, hidden glimpse of Doom.
Next, the Avengers Tower appears, changed after the events of the 2025 Thunderbolts movie. We see the Fantastic Four joining up with the New Avengers/Thunderbolts. Shuri is shown meeting Namor. Cyclops, the leader of the X-Men, walks into the room to join the group.
The trailer then gives a sneak peek of some combat, we get a quick look at Gambit Vs Shang-Chi, then a cool look at Mystique using her morphing abilities as she changes into Yelena, who is the leader of the New Avengers.
Finally, the trailer ends with Thor jumping at Doctor Doom with his Stormbreaker, who blocks the weapon with one hand. Viewers chanted “Play it again!” at the end of the trailer, and the Russo brothers listened, playing it once more at the end of the presentation.
Fans at the event could take pictures and videos of the stage. However, whenever footage appeared on screen, security locked down the entire venue.
They used night vision goggles to spot people recording and pointed lasers at anyone trying to capture video. Those caught were escorted out of the event.

The Mandalorian and Grogu
Star Wars is returning to the big screen with The Mandalorian and Grogu, that releases next month in May.
Jon Favreau, the director of the film, went on stage during the Star Wars panel and reflected on his experiences with Star Wars, explaining the time when he saw the original with his father: “That first shot with the ship flying overhead, it changed my life,” Favreau said while expressing his love for the Star Wars franchise.
Favreau also spoke on the whole production process behind the movie, saying it was very different from producing Star Wars’ The Mandalorian TV show. The difference was that they had years, not months, to perfect the final product.
Fans in attendance were the first to see the newest trailer for the film. It still focuses on characters in the previous trailer, but comes in with a more serious tone. Favreau was so nice that he allowed fans to also see the entire opening sequence of the film.
The Mandalorian & Grogu opens with text explaining that the Empire has fallen, while Mando hunts down scattered warlords alongside Grogu. It then cuts to a meeting of the Imperial Remnant.
You can now finally look at the official trailer below.
Toy Story 5
The film franchise that has played a huge part in everyone’s childhood, Toy Story, is coming out with its fifth installment. Disney treated fans to a new clip from Toy Story 5, which will hit theaters on
Disney treated fans to a new clip from Toy Story 5, which will hit theaters on June 19, 2026.
It’s all about the battle of toys vs tech, as Bonnie gets her Lilypad tablet for the first time, making her toys feel left abandoned. In the scene shown at the event, the music changes to a spooky tone as Bonnie stares at her screen throughout the day and leading into the night.
When Bonnie leaves home, the toys go berserk, as Jessie tries to calm everyone down to explain to them that she will talk to the Lilypad to see what’s going on.
The footage then cuts to the crew trying to communicate with the Lilypad, but not sure if it understands them.
Jessie explains to the Lilypad that Bonnie needs to have friends in real life and she needs real – life interactions, instead of hiding behind the screen all day and having online relationships.
Other toys seem somewhat impressed by the tech, but Jessie, on the other hand, is against the whole thing. Hopefully, this film opens the eyes of the younger generation, especially those who adopted the “iPad kid” as a nickname.
As the year reaches its halfway point, there are still plenty of films lined up that are set to make this a truly unforgettable year for cinema!
