Channing Tatum’s newest big-screen film hit box offices nationwide on August 23. But the star-studded Blink Twice cast first made waves at the Los Angeles Premiere on August 8.
The thriller film was directed and co-written by Zoë Kravitz, Tatum’s fiancée. Tatum plays the leading role as a charming business mogul who takes cocktail waitress Frida (Naomi Ackie) to a private island with their friends. But when Frida’s friend mysteriously disappears, she begins investigating.
The actors and actresses spoke about their positive experiences working on the film. Ackie praised Kravitz’s directing skills and how she individualized her coaching to each person. She also notes Kravitz’s presence made her comfortable on set.
Alia Shawkat highlighted the film’s humorous moments and said the uniqueness of the plot and unexpected ending is what drew her to audition.
