Casey Anthony is a name that some of us haven’t heard since the infamous murder trial in 2011 covering the death of her daughter, Caylee Anthony. If not, the title, “America’s Most Hated Mom,” might serve as a memory refresh towards Anthony’s case. Despite evidence suggesting she had something to do with the murder back in 2008, she was eventually found not guilty… and lots of people had opinions on that. Thanks to her new presence on TikTok, people continue to have strong feelings towards the notorious woman and her claim to innocence.
Let’s back it up first; this isn’t her first reemergence since her 2011 trial. Willingly stepping back into the public’s eye recently in 2022, Anthony released a TV mini series, Casey Anthony: Where the Truth Lies that streamed on Peacock. She insisted she was innocent all the way through, and told the audience how much she missed her daughter each and every day. Concluding the series with a bombshell of an ending, Anthony said her father was the one responsible for her daughter’s death this whole time. Ever since this jarring claim, it left some people even more confused with the whole case. Users on Quora were in disbelief, saying, “she’s a pathological liar,” and, “my red flags fly whenever Anthony talks about Caylee Anthony’s death.”
Now, in 2025, Anthony is back on social media and has an official account on TikTok. She says she wants to use the platform to advocate for her daughter, serve as a legal advocate for others, and continue to talk about her story while honoring her daughter’s death.
From a Mother’s Perspective
As soon as that first TikTok hit the internet, people were up in arms with responses and reactions. Youtuber Kyeluh had countless things to say about Anthony’s TikTok account, and having a toddler of her own, she doesn’t buy Anthony’s story for one second.
Kyeluh stressed, “I’m a mother. And no real mother would ever be quiet about their child going missing.”
Kyeluh goes into detail in her video about the fact that Anthony is just using TikTok to rebrand herself and distract people from remembering she was accused of murdering her daughter.
Using TikTok for Funds
One of the reasons people aren’t happy about this whole social media stunt from Anthony is because she’s using Substack, a subscription-based media platform, where users can pay her money to receive videos from Anthony where she gives them life advice. Based on this Reddit community covering the whole situation, dozens of users were disgusted with Anthony’s choice to do this and think it boils down to Anthony just using innocent people for money and clout.
TikTok Reactions
Based on the countless reaction videos to Anthony’s reintroduction on TikTok, her name is once again headlining all over the place. From her days in the courtroom, to her newest videos on TikTok, she is adamant that she did not have anything to do with her daughter’s death. Whether people start to believe her or not, only time will tell.
