On February 2, Beyoncé made musical history at the Grammy Awards.

After over fifty years, the “16 Carriages” singer won Best Country Album for Cowboy Carter as well as Album of the Year. Cowboy Carter showcased a different twist on country music, involving a brilliant take on country and Americana that brought a fresh perspective to the genre in March of 2024. Previously, the Pointer Sisters had taken home the award for Best Country Vocal Performance in 1974 for “Fairytale” as a duo or group.

She added, “I want to dedicate this to Ms. Martell. And I hope we just keep pushing forward, opening doors,” ending her acceptance of her award on an inspirational note.
