It’s important to clarify that your Enneagram type does not suggest where one’s capabilities lay or limit your potential. While it is rare for one’s Enneagram to change, as it’s comprised of integral values pertinent to one’s own psychological experience, it does not mean you’re stuck if the outcome is not one you’d hoped for. For example, one Enneagram type is rooted in perfectionism and what it means to model excellence; and, to some nature that can be hard to move away from if it’s rooted in your core, but many people recover from perfectionist tendencies after lots of work or therapy – or eventually just learn how to remove the urgency from things. So it’s important to note that you can work on different qualities if there’s something you don’t like about your Enneagram results – and your number does not define you.

You can read more about these wings and the push and pull of who people are drawn to based on their Enneagram here.
There are other studies indicating what various Enneagram numbers can represent when coupled with other Enneagram types such as in a romantic relationship as well as websites that suggest which spiritual practices might be best for your Enneagram number.
