“Here I am, once again,” back in Los Angeles, California. 13 years after Victorious ended, fans old and new will get a chance to step back into Hollywood Arts High School with the brand-new spin-off, Hollywood Arts, set to debut on Netflix in 2026.
Trina Vega is still an aspiring actor, but returns to the high school as a substitute teacher. Daniella Monet will reprise the role. It’s unclear if other original cast members will return as guest stars. This includes Victoria Justice, Elizabeth Gillies, Avan Jogia, Leon Thomas, Ariana Grande, or Matt Bennett. Yvette Nicole Brown will return as Principal Helen.
A logline reads: “In this all-new series, struggling actress Trina Vega (Daniella Monet) returns to her former high school, Hollywood Arts, as an unqualified substitute teacher, quickly finding herself both clashing with and unexpectedly inspiring a new generation of ambitious and talented students as they learn to find their true path at Hollywood’s most elite performing arts school.”

“Coming back as Trina alongside such a dynamic, powerful cast of newcomers is something I feel very lucky and grateful to do,” Monet said. “Victorious was in a lot of ways life-changing for all of us. Our cast is forever bonded by that experience, and to think that I have an opportunity to steward anything close to that is a feeling I can’t begin to describe.”
Newer cast members include Alyssa Miles (Emmy), and Emmy Liu-Wang (Pepper). Others include Erika Swayze (Jen Z), Peyton Jackson (Qwest), and Martin Kamm (Oscar).

Production has already begun, with the first table read held in October 2025. Unlike the original series, which filmed in Hollywood, California, the production will Hollywood Arts in Vancouver, Canada.
Jake Farrow and Samantha Martin created the spin-off. Farrow voiced Rex in Victorious, Robbie’s puppet, and Martin has worked on The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder. Both have worked on Henry Danger.
Ryan Maw will be choreographing the show. He has been a part of choreography teams on movies for Netflix, Disney Plus, and Paramount Plus. Maw has also appeared as an on-screen dancer in projects such as High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Julie and the Phantoms, Descendants Remix Dance Party, and others.
Dan Schneider, the former producer of Victorious, will have no involvement with Hollywood Arts. Schneider parted ways with Nickelodeon in 2018 after an investigation found he was verbally abusive to staff members.

While Victorious was produced by Nickelodeon, Hollywood Arts is produced by Paramount Television Studios. It will begin streaming on Netflix and then be available on Paramount+ and Nickelodeon.
For readers unfamiliar with the original series, Victorious follows Tori Vega at Hollywood Arts High School. Alongside her sister and friends, she navigates the entertainment world, enhances her talents with her teacher, Sikowitz, and of course, breaks into song.
Victorious originally began in 2010, finishing with four seasons. It is currently streaming on Netflix in the U.S. Since 2024, the series has earned over 45 million views on the platform since 2024.
In the meantime, get ready to “Freak the Freak Out” over the upcoming sequel!
