The jaws are dropping, the wands are waving, and Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande are back on the big screen for a Wicked sequel! Wicked: For Good is set to release on November 21, 2025, starring our favorite female vocalists as Elphaba and Glinda, and yes, of course, Jonathan Bailey as Prince Fiyero. Wizards, good witches, bad witches, and yet another addictive soundtrack are on their way to us, and fans of The Wizard of Oz cannot contain their squeals of excitement!

So, what does Wicked: For Good have in store for us? Aside from the obviously gorgeous visuals and costumes—which we’re undoubtedly going to have to discuss—this wickedly exciting sequel continues the story of Elphaba, now known as the “Wicked Witch of the West.” Exiled to the Ozian forest, our favorite green witch lives a world apart from her iconic Emerald City bestie. Talk about the sad truth of friendships in adulthood, right? The good news is that our green and pink duo unite! However, an angry mob is the main cause of their get-together….and they aren’t a big fan of Elphaba. Expect some good vs. evil as Elphaba and Glinda navigate the tensions in Oz together!

Wardrobe Teasers

We absolutely need to talk about the wardrobe for Wicked: For Good! Miss Grande has been causing a fashion storm on Instagram by posting snippets of her stunning Glinda attire. Designed by Paul Tazewell, Grande screams whimsical good witch in her glittering baby purple ballgown. From the sheer sleeves to the gorgeous wand and breathtaking crown, we can safely say that Grande quite literally ate the role up.

Similarly, Erivo is killing it as Elphaba in her fluttering black gown. Also designed by Paul Tazewell, Erivo is pictured with “Wicked Witch of the West” staples in a snippet Grande shared on social media: her pointed hat that steals the show and a broomstick that I wish I could make work with my own outfit. What more is there to say? Erivo does such a fantastic job at depicting Elphaba that we might just forget about Dorothy’s destroyed house.
