Drum roll for this new Arab fashion icon! Palestinian-Chilean singer and songwriter Elyanna has been taking the music world by storm, as both a fashionista and artist. The 23-year-old brings a fresh take on typical Arabic pop by combining it with Latin rhythm. This rare combo doesn’t just stop with her music genre: as an artist, Elyanna pays homage to her Palestinian-Chilean roots too. Often seen in coin belts and decked out in henna, the singer-songwriter’s style is best described as street style and Arabic fusion.
Who Is Elyanna?
Born and raised in Nazareth, Elyanna began singing at the young age of 7, according to an interview with ABC News. A huge fan of jazz, Elyanna was also a big fan of artists such as Etta James and Aretha Franklin growing up. The 23-year-old gained an online following by posting covers until she was discovered by Grammy-winning producer Nasri Atweh at just 15.
Following the release of her singles “Ana Lahale,” “Ghareeb Alay,” and “Callin’ U“—a popular track often described as a fusion of The Weeknd and Amr Diab—Elyanna has garnered a huge amount of international attention. In 2023, the singer made history as the first artist to perform a complete Arabic set at Coachella, and get this: she’s opening for Coldplay‘s “Music Of The Spheres” World Tour in Arabic!

The Palestinian-Chilean artist took the stage with a braided half-up, half-down hairstyle, a distressed white top, and some seriously shredded jeans. Elyanna did not disappoint as the opener for Coldplay’s tour in terms of vocals and iconic Arab fashion. Elyanna in Valentino is not something we thought we needed until now. The fully black gown featured a sheer bodice and sleeves, complete with feathers. Elyanna wore her hair down with some braids and a stunning silver headpiece that brought the Arab vibe to this Valentino design.
