Father’s Day is coming up on June 15, and fast! Whether you’re planning a nice family get-away, a chill barbeque, or a special dinner for the father figures in your life, consider throwing on a movie during your weekend celebration to make it all the more memorable. Maybe you’re more a chick-flick fan, a comedy fanatic, or perhaps you’d rather shed some tears with your family. Here are four classic movies to check out this Father’s Day!

The Parent Trap

Imagine you’re a twin separated at birth, and you have absolutely no idea who your father is. Bonus points if you’re British. The Parent Trap is a classic Disney movie that follows the story of Hallie and Annie, sisters that live continents apart and fatefully meet up at a summer camp. They’ve got a seriously mischievous plan to bring their parents together and stop their father’s engagement. The Parent Trap has the perfect mixture of humor and heart-string tugging moments for Father’s Day!

Mamma Mia

Mamma Mias Sophie brings all the father-daughter love with not just one, not two, but three father figures in this musical comedy. Having always dreamed of her father walking her down the aisle, Sophie takes matters into her own hands and invites three of her mother’s ex-boyfriends to her wedding in the hopes that she’ll figure out which one truly is her bio-dad. This lively movie with Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried will have you singing, laughing, and moving like a “Dancing Queen.”

Mrs. Doubtfire

Mrs. Doubtfire gives much love to single parents, especially on Father’s Day. After his divorce, Daniel Hillard wants to spend more time with his children. How will he accomplish this? By dressing up as a nanny and having his ex-wife hire him. Robin Williams‘ hilarious and sweet delivery of Mrs. Doubtfire makes this film totally worth the watch!
