Valentine’s Day is almost here, and if you’re looking to celebrate the holiday with entertainment, there’s no shortage of new music, films, and shows to incorporate into your date night. Whether you’re planning to have a movie night with your lover, a Galentine’s Day listening party, or a night in binge-watching, there’s a lot of new media for you to consume this February 14. Here’s a rundown of a few anticipated releases that will make your day of love unforgettable.
New Music
- PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake – Some Sexy Songs 4
These two Canadian artists are finally dropping their long-awaited collaboration album on this special holiday. Not much has been revealed about the joint project so far, except a snippet of one song featured in an Instagram video on Drake’s page. It’s also expected to have a primarily R&B sound, so be prepared to get in your feelings.

2. Alessia Cara – Love & Hyperbole
After a four-year hiatus, singer-songwriter Alessia Cara is releasing her fourth studio album on Valentine’s Day. Cara debuted the tracklist via Instagram on February 4. The three singles “Dead Man”, “(Isn’t It) Obvious” and “Slow Motion” are out now, and they center on the complexities of relationships. Get ready to hear 14 tracks filled with outstanding vocal performances.

Film Releases
- Captain America: Brave New World
As part of Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this film will follow Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), now Captain America, who finds himself at the center of an international incident following a meeting with the newly elected president, Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford). Wilson then goes on an action-packed mission to stop the evil masterminds behind the tragic event. It will only be available in theaters, premiering on February 14.
2. Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy
In this fourth installment of the Bridget Jones film series, Bridget Jones (Renée Zellweger) is navigating life as a single mom with a few life changes. She finds herself in another love triangle with a guy 20 years younger than her and her son’s science teacher. On February 13, the film will be available to stream on Peacock.
3. Paddington in Peru
In this Paddington sequel, Paddington finds out that his beloved Aunt Lucy has gone missing, and he makes it his duty to find her in the jungles of Peru. With the Brown family by his side, this rescue mission takes a turn when they come across a legendary treasure deep in the Amazon rainforest. If you have kids, this will make a good trip to the theater on Valentine’s Day!
Television Shows Returning
- Yellowjackets Season 3
On Sweetheart’s Day, the all-girl soccer team returns to our screens, uncovering the dark secrets of their time spent stranded in the wilderness. The trailer teases rising tension as Misty (Christina Ricci), Taissa (Tawny Cypress), and Shauna (Melanie Lynskey) are trying to figure out who is out to get them. If you want to make your holiday spooky, the first episode of the new season will be available to watch on Paramount+.
