Tyla recently guest-starred on The Jennifer Hudson Show where she shared her excitement over appearing on the cover of this March’s British Vogue. When asked how it felt to make the cover of Vogue, the “Push 2 Start” singer explained: “It’s insane! Like Vogue? Like what? It’s literally insane. Like I’m so happy, and I was so excited. The team was so fun…The shoot felt like I didn’t want it to end.”
The South African superstar spoke fondly of the team on the set of her first Vogue as well. “We were trying on so many different outfits. We were having fun with it, and I was involved with the outfits, so it felt like a group thing.”

From her record-breaking song “Water” to her newer releases, it’s no wonder that Tyla is gracing the March issue of British Vogue. Her style brings a fresh and authentic energy that screams bold, sensual, and confident. When prompted about her style inspiration, the 23-year-old stated: “I just like looking like I’m always on an island…Like it’s fresh, dewy, effortless. I just love that type of look.”
Even as she stunned on the Victoria’s Secret runway with her very own angel wings, Tyla stayed true to her classic dewy inspired look. She absolutely stunned in a silver and gold lingerie ensemble, and the feathery wings were the cherry on top!

While Tyla rocks runways and red carpets, paying homage to her roots, she also has been a revolutionary fashionista. At the 2024 Met Gala, the 23-year-old wow-ed as she debuted her “Sands of Time” dress, nearly breaking the internet. With an hourglass for a purse, and a chic cropped bob, the Balmain gown made for a perfect first Met Gala appearance. Definitely unforgettable!

In 2024, the South African singer had broken multiple records in music history. Tyla became the first African solo artist to achieve one billion streams on Spotify. Her debut album alone is the most-streamed album by a female African artist. “Water,” also referred to as the global hit song of 2024, won Best African Music Performance at the 66th annual Grammys, and continues to break records today.
