Trevor Noah is coming back to the Grammys! He will be the host of next year’s award show making this his fourth time in a row to host. Last night the 39-year-old announced on his podcast “What Now? with Trevor Noah” which airs daily on Spotify. Noah showed his excitement while on air stating, “It’s a lot of fun. I enjoy the Grammys because I get to watch the show in person and then just experience and comment on it in person while it is happening,” says Noah. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the former Daily Show television host and comedian will also serve as a producer of the Grammys.
Trevor Noah has been having much success since leaving The Daily Show, which producers have yet to find an official host since his exit. In addition to his Grammy hosting announcement, he was also recently recognized in a new category for the Golden Globes as the best performance in stand-up comedy on television. Following his exciting news, Noah also shared the trailer for his new comedy special on Instagram coming to Netflix, which airs Friday, Dec. 19th.
About the Nominations and Performances
Just last month nominees were announced for the 2024 Grammys. R&B singer, SZA, takes the lead with nine nominations for her blockbuster album “SOS.” Following her is Victoria Monet who received seven nominations, while Taylor Swift,Billie Eilish, and Olivia Rodrigo earned six. While the nominations and categories have been announced, the performers list is still not yet confirmed.However, past performances included, Lizzo,Sam Smith,Bad Bunny and many more.
