The Life of a Showgirl Official Release Party Movie:
It’s an exciting time in the life of a Swiftie, as Taylor Swift‘s movie, The Official Release Party of a Showgirl, comes out this week. Following the release of her new album, Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl launch party movie will parade into theaters. This film will show for three days only, October 3-5. This exclusive, theatrical launch party will double as a watch party for the premiere of her music video for track one, “The Fate of Ophelia,” one of the album’s most anticipated moments, especially for fellow tortured poets.
With new lyric videos and personable interviews in her studio, Swift’s new movie will grant a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the album. This film will bring Swifties backstage in the making of a new era that revisits Swift’s upbringing as a young singer in the spotlight. The Life of A Showgirl album will also reflect on the defining moments that led to her bold Eras tour.

What to Wear to This Celebratory Release Party
When it comes to what to wear to this event, it’s all about orange and sparkles. Ticketholders can don any showgirl attire, such as glitter, boas, and fishnets. Another great outfit option is for fans to rock their favorite Taylor Tee. Swift has encouraged fans to dress up so it feels like a party! She also encourages Swifties to come together to sing and dance, and enjoy a sneak peek of what’s to come. She even noted on her Instagram that Swifties can don their Eras tour outfit once again, which is a great way to save money and relive all the Taylor showgirl magic.

Taylor Swift’s Album Announcement on New Heights Podcast:
In the New Heights podcast, in which Swift announced this new album, she proclaimed that The Life of a Showgirl has described how her life has felt. Fans are waiting impatiently to see what Swift has been working on, having heard she was even writing songs for this album while she was on tour. With no single released in advance, fans will have to wait until it’s time on October 3.
Much to her followers’ surprise, there are only 12 listed songs on the album. However, some fans caught a glimpse of a Pinocchio figurine that appeared on the shelf during the New Heights podcast special when she made the announcement. This may be an easter egg, suggesting there’s a fib surrounding something Swift announced about the album. It could be her lucky number 13 celebrated if she’s giving fans a 13th track. Perhaps it could be that this film announces something even bigger, such as a tour or Swift’s next big move, or perhaps a new genre for her.

Residency Rumors and What to Expect
It had even been speculated that Taylor may have been surprising fans with an upcoming residency in Las Vegas. These residency rumors were recently debunked by The Sphere in Las Vegas. The Sphere stated that they had not been in any conversations with Swift about a potential residency. The movie’s time in theaters–being short-lived–has people wondering what all the film may reveal, or if it will be more focused on the making of the music. Per AMC’s website, the film will feature Swift’s commentary for each new song and her personal reflections on writing them. It’s not yet clear as to why this fun event is only in theaters for three days. It may have something to do with whether or not Swift is making additional announcements or has a deal to release it on Disney+ in the weeks to follow.
