Expert fish lovers should be well acquainted with this type of seafood, but if you’re new to fish and want to start off easy, Mahi Mahi is one of the most subtly flavored fish out there! This easy lemon garlic sauce has tons of lemon flavor from lemon peel, lemon juice, and lemon pepper, while the garlic cloves bring in a savory taste to the dish. This recipe includes capers, which are a must whenever you’re making anything with lemon. Coconut is one of those summer flavors that immediately transports you into a tropical-mirage! This shrimp recipe comes together with just a few common seasonings like onion powder, garlic, pepper, and paprika. The coconut flakes are used to create a delicious crunch on the outside of the shrimp, which are amazing on their own or in shrimp tacos! These shrimp are baked in the oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for only 12 minutes, so it’s a super quick dinner idea for a healthy diet!

Fish is already the main component of a Mediterranean diet, and this recipe is inspired by that! If you love olives, tomatoes, and herbs, this one is right up your alley. It only takes 25 minutes to cook, and you can swap out different white fish for this recipe, like halibut or tilapia. All you do is mix together the tomato mixture, spread it evenly over the fish, pop it in the oven, and you’re done! Cod is another mild-tasting fish, so if you’re looking for something with a bigger flavor profile, salmon might be your guy!

Honey Garlic Salmon

Now we admit, salmon may not be for everyone. It has a stronger “seafood” taste and isn’t as mild and flaky as other white fish, like Mahi Mahi, so keep that in mind! The taste of salmon pairs well with this honey garlic sauce made with only 4 ingredients: garlic, soy sauce, honey, and white vinegar. It’s a simple but effective sauce for the fish, and it doesn’t even take 10 minutes to cook the salmon on the stove! 

Seafood can certainly be an acquired taste, but there are so many varieties to try!
