Nicole Byer & Echo Kellum Celebrate ‘Grand Crew’ Season 2 Premiere

Nicole Byer & Echo Kellum Grand Crew Season 2

Last Friday, the stars of NBC’s Grand Crew, Nicole Byer and Echo Kellum, visited Chicago to celebrate the show’s second season premiere. Grand Crew is a hangout comedy that revolves around a group of friends who regularly meet up at their favorite wine bar to share laughs, struggles, and life lessons. The show stars Byer as Nicky, a vivacious and fearless member of the crew, and Kellum as Noah, the charming and earnest friend who always has his buddies’ backs.

But the chemistry between the cast members on screen isn’t just acting. The group has developed a strong bond off-screen as well, which adds to the show’s authenticity and believability. The series has also been celebrated for exploring the weighty themes that Black men face in America, while balancing that with joy, laughter, and overall friendship.

Byer is a multi-talented performer who has made a name for herself in the comedy world. She is best known as the host of Netflix’s Nailed It! and has made history as the first Black woman ever to be nominated in the category of Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program. Byer can also be seen co-hosting TBS’ reboot of Wipeout, and she voices characters in Amazon’s Invincibles and Adult Swim’s Tuca & Bertie.

Kellum is also a versatile actor, writer, and director who has appeared in several TV shows and films. He is well-known for his role as Mr. Terrific in Arrow and has recurred on FX’s The Old Man. Kellum is currently developing an original feature with his writing and directing partner Nathan Caywood and Lil Rel Howery.
