Former YouTube personality Ned Fulmer is back in the spotlight after three years of silence. This is after his viral extramarital cheating scandal that got him kicked out of the YouTube group The Try Guys.

Before the scandal broke in September 2022, the Try Guys were a well-established viral content production company that came from the BuzzFeed offices. The members Keith Habersberger, Zach Kornfeld, Eugene Lee Yang, and Fulmer were former coworkers who became best friends. They churned out daily videos on everything from food challenges to surgery consultations to daring activities. They shared this with their 7 million YouTube subscribers, but when the Internet teased out that Fulmer was having an affair with an employee of the Try Guys, it completely exploded from a private matter into a public scandal. It ended with Fulmer leaving the group after a public apology. The widespread sharing of the remaining Try Guys’ video even inspired an SNL parody.
It was at the beginning of September 2022 that these rumors began to fly. Redditors were a big part of spreading the information. As Reddit tends to culminate a certain group of people. But it was in the first couple of days of the month that multiple people had seen Fulmer around NYC this week, making out with women at local bars. They also said they saw Ned and Alexandria Herring kissing in the club in New York City.
It wasn’t until September 8, 2022, on the Trypod podcast, that Kornfeld states that he has had a “rough week” and is “surviving.” Speculation from Redditors and information brought to Ariel Fulmer gives the fans their first notion that something is wrong, because no one else has commented on the matter.
Between September 8 and 27 of 2022, the Try Guys did not include Ned in any Instagram posts or Trypod videos. He didn’t appear in any videos or campaigns as well. It wasn’t until the 27 that the Try Guys officially announced that Fulmer would no longer work with them. Fulmer says he had a “consensual workplace relationship.” Which, yes, it was consensual, but was it morally right? That’s another story. The incident became one of Time Magazine’s Top 10 Most Viral Moments of 2022 because of how big it was
It was September 17, 2025, when his Rock Bottom with Ned Fulmer premiered its first episode. Which features his now separated wife, Ariel Fulmer. They discussed the cheating scandal that led to the departure.
With this announcement of his podcast, fans were not excited about it. Many were on Ariel’s side, saying that his vocal fry was so annoying. He is exploiting his wife’s trauma to launch another white man podcast. They were just surprised he was trying to make a comeback.

For the podcast itself, Rolling Stone says it “is described as a show discussing people’s lowest moments and how people overcame them.” And that after “addressing his own rock bottom, Fulmer said he hopes to explore how failure changes people’s lives.”
A negative public reaction followed Fulmer’s return to the spotlight, and many people discussed whether it was a good idea. Time will only tell if the podcast succeeds, whether it’s based on hate-watching or people genuinely liking it.
