Megan Thee Stallion has been garnering incredible success in 2024. From massive tour shows to hosting the 2024 MTV VMAs, the rap star is leaping great bounds in the industry — and is now ready to show the world a behind-the-scenes look into how she’s done it all.
On Monday, October 14, Amazon MGM Studios announced that the full-length documentary Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words will be released on October 31, via Amazon’s Prime Video.
The film, directed by Emmy-award-winning Nneka Onuorah, will tell the tale of Megan’s rise to stardom and the obstacles she overcame. Produced by Time Studios and Megan’s management company, Roc Nation, a press release says: “Follow the Houston native’s journey on the road to stardom as she tenaciously navigates fame, grief, pressure and success. The documentary unpacks Megan’s most vulnerable moments in a powerful way that allows fans to meet the real Megan Pete.”

Other producers of the full-length film include Lori York and Desiree Perez for Roc Nation, accompanied by Ian Orefice and Alexa Conway. Executive producers Dave O’Connor and Loren Hammonds from TIME Studios are involved in the documentary, which was said to have been in production for at least two years.
The three-time Grammy winner’s documentary is set to release on the day of her 2024 Hottieween show, taking place at the United Center in Chicago. Tickets for Hottieween went on sale on October 11 and sold out within five minutes. Ticket proceeds will be given to Megan’s Pete and Thomas Foundation, which generates resources for women and children in underserved communities.
Megan’s documentary couldn’t have been released at a better time. The rap icon turned pop star has recently concluded the 15-show Hot Girl Summer tour, racking in $19 million in revenue. According to a recent post by Billboard, Meg has scored three number-one hits on the Billboard Hot 100 list in 2024, with singles from her most recent self-titled album. Singles such as “Hiss” and “Mamushi” have been in heavy rotation all year.
With Meg’s popularity rising, it’s safe to say this hotties wave isn’t going cold anytime soon.
