Martha Stewart Confesses to Cheating in Upcoming Netflix Documentary

Martha Stewart is coming out with a new Netflix documentary, Martha, about her own life, and she’s not holding back any secrets.

In the trailer for the show, a few seconds of the clip includes Stewart’s shocking confession she’s kept under wraps for decades: she had an affair while married to her ex-husband, Andrew Stewart.

Ironically enough, Stewart precedes her confession with a warning to other women about cheating.

“Listen to my advice: If you’re married and your husband starts to cheat on you, he’s a piece of s—.” she said. “Get out of that marriage.”

A producer for the show then asks, “Didn’t you have an affair early on?”

“Yeah, but I don’t think Andy ever knew about that,” Stewart said.

The former couple shares a daughter, Alexis Stewart, and were married for 29 years before divorcing in 1990.

In a 2020 interview with People, Martha Stewart revealed that she had a hard time with the split.

“Getting divorced was a terrible thing for me, because we were the first to divorce in my family,” she said. “And that we haven’t spoken since the divorce is even more painful. But I’m very strong, and I’m very motivated to get on with life.”

Stewart has not remarried, but she did add a couple of other relationships to her history, including a 15-year relationship with Microsoft mogul Charles Simonyi. Her ex-husband, on the other hand, went on to remarry twice and is currently with Shyla Nelson Stewart, the CEO and president of Fieldstone Publishing.

It appears, according to Page Six, that Martha did not turn out as she hoped as back in September. Stewart bashed it on two separate occasions, calling it “lazy” and “not the story that makes me me.”

Whether viewers will draw the same conclusions remains to be seen as the documentary isn’t set to premiere until Oct. 30.
