Let's Go Over Some Beauty Products A JNL Writer Loves!

Beauty is much more than looking good. It’s expressing yourself in a way that makes you feel good. Bodycare, skincare, makeup, nails, and hair all fall under beauty. While beauty is seen as a “girly” subject, everyone should invest in beauty products.

Tips

The biggest piece of advice I could offer is to not buy everything at once. I made this mistake when first starting skincare! You will see people online who have tons of products. You may not need everything they have. Start out with one or two products and see how your skin reacts. This way, if a product does not interact well with your skin, you can figure out which one.

Bodycare

A good soap is where it starts. Using a soap that is rough can strip the moisture from your skin. Therefore, look for soaps that fit your skin. For example, my skin gets very dry so I use Dove.

Lotions and oils are also a part of body care. Some people use both while others use only one. It’s best to apply lotion after the shower to walk in the moisture from the water. The Intense Repair Lotion from Eucerin is my go to.

Skincare

Skincare had its moment on social media not too long ago. If you are just starting out, I recommend getting a cleanser and moisturizer. Many face cleaning routines you will see only will include serums and more. If you want to invest in those, go ahead but not all of them are needed.

Popular and affordable skin care brands include CeraVe, Cetaphil, and The Ordinary. Each brand has a wide range of products you can choose from.

On a more pricey side, there is La Roche-Posay and COSRX. You can find these brands on Amazon or Ulta.

Fragrances

Smelling bad is one of my biggest fears. The interesting thing about fragrances is that it’s not limited to perfume. You can have scented lotion, body wash, oils, and more! Layering perfumes and lotions can be super fun and elevate your body care.

When layering, always test out on a patch of skin first. You never know how scents may  react to one another. Put the lotion or oil on first, then the perfume. The perfume will stick to the lotion, making for the perfect layering formula!

I normally stick with similar sense when layering but feel free to be creative! So N’Crowd, let’s start that beauty routine that makes you glow from the inside out!
