KATSEYE made history last night, holding up their first-ever Moon Person trophy for their PUSH Performance of the Year award. Seeing them together felt extremely surreal. Seeing it with my own eyes was insane, Carpenter walked onto stage and the whole venue lit up, When her name was called for best album, you could feel the shock and excitement radiating off of her. The crowd was in awe seeing her custom bodice gown as she accepted her award. Following a year of hits and almost everything she did going viral, it seemed fitting to see her victory in person.

Carpenter’s performance was a full-on tribute to Britney Spears, and it wowed viewers from start to finish. She came out in a glitzy outfit, channeled the pop princess attitude, and even ate the iconic dance moves. The energy was electric, and you could feel the Spears influence all over the stage.

Grande did exactly what she was supposed to do, accepting her VMA for Best Pop with a speech that felt extremely grounded yet emotional.

ROSÉ’s name was called for Song of the Year, and it officially changed MTV’s history. You could feel how much it meant, not just for her but for K-Pop as a whole. It was the first time a K-Pop artist has ever taken home this award. The energy was wild and ROSÉ looked stunned and so grateful, thanking her fans and her team with a big, emotional smile.

After accepting her award it was only right for Grande herself to highlight the moment.

That wasn’t it for the K-Pop group, LISA made history last night, becoming the first soloist to win ‘Best K-Pop’ at the VMAs three times. Watching her walk the stage again for the third time was insane, and you could tell she knew how big this was. It’s a win for the whole K-Pop community. It’s official, she’s in her own lane now. Three times is not luck, it’s a legacy.
