Hayley Williams, front-woman of the pop-rock band Paramore, has announced dates for her 2026 tour. She will perform her third solo pop album, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party. The album is an experimental project that ushers in a new era in Williams’ career as a veteran musician.
Hitting Her Solo Stride
The album, as the name would suggest, explored the idea of ego death—or a loss of personal identity. This happens for many people as they grow older and grapple with life and maturity, especially in the entertainment industry. According to Pitchfork, the album reckons with William’s predatory 20-year record deal with Atlantic Records, signed when she was 15. At 36, she has reclaimed her artistry, distributing this album under her indie label venture Post Atlantic. The tour is sponsored by her own hair dye brand, Good Dye Young.

In her solo career thus far, Williams has separated her independent work from Paramore. She’s leaned into more of an art pop vibe as opposed to the rebellious pop-punk of the band’s peak. Ego Death takes this a step further, as each song takes a new approach to telling her story across genres. The lyrics are pointed and strong, speaking to professional and personal trials she has faced in her life. The album is eclectic, but Williams’ voice is strong and clear, making the project a cohesive one.

Ego Death on the Road
The Ego Death tour will begin this March in Atlanta and will take Williams through North America and Europe before wrapping up in June in Dublin. Since the tour has been announced, additional dates have been added in many high-demand locations, with accessibility in mind for as many fans as possible to be able to attend.

Scalping, or buying tickets with the sole purpose of reselling them at a premium, has become an increasingly common phenomenon in recent years. Fans of a variety of different artists have missed out on seeing their favs due to this. A few artists, like Williams, have caught on to the proactive measures that will be required to fix it. She worked with Openstage to run a presale with rigorous verification, which is about all that can be done to fix the issue and keep the tour affordable for fans.
Williams was initially scouted by Atlantic to be a solo artist. Paramore may have gotten in the way of that, but it provided her recognition and adoration from her fan base—especially with all of the inspiration she has provided for younger artists. A new label and three solo albums later, however, she has found her stride in her solo work: prioritizing art and authenticity. This, with her care for her fans and integrity, has cemented her as both a front-woman and a well-rounded artist.
