During her concert at Hyde Park in London, Stevie Nicks invited Harry Styles to join her on stage to perform “Landslide” and “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.” The pair’s emotional rendition of “Landslide” has captured the heart of the internet, as well as Nicks’ tribute to her late friend and fellow Fleetwood Mac member Christine McVie on what would have been her 81st birthday.
This performance was Styles’ first time taking the stage since the end of his “Love on Tour” tour in 2023. The two have performed together twice before, notably when Styles inducted Nicks into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019. During the ceremony, the two performed “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.”

Styles has largely remained out of the spotlight for the last year, to the dismay of his massive fan base. This performance brought out cathartic reactions worldwide, as fans watched the beloved performer retake the stage with a musical legend.
Nicks gave an emotional speech at the end of their performance and said she asked Styles to join her on stage to help honor her late friend. She lamented that the past year and a half since her passing has been difficult for her, and that performing has helped her through.

“One thing that my mom used to say when I was little is that when I was hurt, ‘you’d always run to the stage,’” Nicks said, “and that’s what I’ve been doing ever since Chris passed away.”
She thanked the fans at Hyde Park for supporting her, and giving her a platform to continue performing. “You have made me better,” she said, “and I want you to know how much I appreciate that.”
McVie passed away in 2022 after suffering from chronic back problems and a stroke at the age of 79. She was a keyboardist, vocalist and songwriter for Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks’ original band. The two performed together for almost 30 years.
Nicks left her audience with a sweet message about her late bandmate and friend, “Christine was Harry’s girl, she was my girl, she was your girl,” said Nicks, “and she loved all of us.”
