Emily is your go-to for all things about plus-sized fashion…
Hello divas! We’re back again with another weekly clothing rec list, this time for tights. Tights are inarguably one of the most annoying things to shop for as a bigger person. They either rip at our thighs and crotch, stretch too thin or don’t fit over our bellies. Luckily for you, I did some digging around for some high-rated options on Amazon to try, now compiled in one list. Without further ado, let’s get into it!
HONENNA Fleece-lined Tights
TikTok shop, as always, has introduced us to another innovation–tights with the thickness of leggings. Lined with fleece, these tights have the same opaque appearance of regular tights while keeping your legs warm with an interior fuzzy lining.

Of course, not everyone has TikTok, so you can also purchase them on Amazon for $13 in a variety of 11 colors and a size range up to 6x. With over 600 reviews and 4.5 stars, this pair of affordable tights doesn’t sound too shabby. P.S. – they don’t come with a flaming ball of fire.
Ulla Popken Footless Lace Tights
Don’t like feeling constrained? These footless tights are for you then, especially if you want a more edgy look, as they’re lace. You can choose from three colors: dark green, hot pink and black. Even better? They go up to a size 30.

Even though there’s only one review (5 star, to be fair), it seems worth a try, especially because it’s hard to find tights that go over a size 20.
Argyle Tights from MeMoi
This next pair of tights from MeMoi is for the dark academia lovers (or those who just really like Harry Potter). If you want to look like a vintage intellectual, check out these argyle tights. Whether you pair them with a pleated skirt or Mary Janes, they’re bound to stand out while maintaining class.

They come in three staple colors: red, black and brown. We love the versatility. Thanks for looking out for us, Amazon. These tights go up to a 6x and have over 1,000 reviews, averaging 4.5 stars. Seems pretty promising if you ask me.
Moon Wood’s Thigh High Leg Warmers
While not exactly tights, these knee-high leg warmers are a gem for us thick-thigh girls. With over 600 reviews averaging 4.1 stars, I think these are pretty reliable. You can roll them up or down depending on the weather.

Personally, I’d be rocking some combat boots under these warmers for a grunge look. While they’re listed as “one size plus,” the model in the photo is genuinely plus size and not just “curvy”, so I’d bet they’re pretty accurate in sizing.
Plaid Tights from MeMoi

MeMoi’s argyle tights have a companion pair from MeMoi that are plaid. They also go up to a size 6x and add some diversity to your scholarly wardrobe. If you’re going to get these, you might as well get the argyle tights. The more the merrier!
MERYLURE Tummy Control Tights
If you’re like me, you don’t mind some slimming bottoms, especially with a form-fitting dress. While I often struggle into some Spanx and then wiggle my way into tights, I think these tights might be a lifesaver. Rather than jumping up and down to put on two layers of bottoms, get it all done in one go.

For only $13 and certified 4.4 stars, these tummy control tights seem pretty hopeful. I’m adding them to my Amazon cart right now.
Go and buy these tights now before the cold winter weather takes us by storm! Let us know in the comments if you liked these accessories and feel free to recommend the N’Crew some of your own.
