It’s finally time for the blind lawyer to return to the streets of Hell’s Kitchen, and this time he’s doing it with a new look, ditching his classic blood red suit and going with more of a stealthy vibe to creep up on his enemies.
Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) return to Season two of Disney’s+ Daredevil: Born Again, after its successful Disney debut back in March of 2025. Fans have been begging for more Matt Murdock lore, and Marvel listened.
This season follows Mayor Wilson Fisk as he takes control of New York City and aims to eliminate all vigilantes, especially his top target, Daredevil. Behind the mask, Matt Murdock keeps fighting to defend his reputation and protect Hell’s Kitchen and the rest of New York.
What to Expect?
The first season focused on the opposite worlds between Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk. For most of the first season, it was felt like a character study for half of the season, helping most fans catch up since the original Netflix series finished back in November 2018.
Most action didn’t start up till the last few episodes of the season, when they added the iconic Marvel villain Bullseye (Wilson Bethel), who also plays a huge antagonist role. Only being in three episodes last season, he made his presence known in the MCU.
Fans went crazy seeing the reveal of his new costume for season two that looks close to his one in the comic books.
One of the best villains in television history

Season two expands the story significantly, giving supporting characters more time in the spotlight and also expanding the citywide narrative across all five boroughs.
At the core of the story, the series still locks in on the Murdock and Fisk conflict, their similarities, and the key differences that make one a hero, and the other, who poses as a hero to the public, but a true monster behind the scenes. But this season also shines a light on New York City itself and how the public sees both of them.
Six months have passed since the end of season one. Mayor Fisk has successfully started to gain the public’s trust in his word on the whole “Anti-Vigilante” & “Clean-up the streets” campaign.
Many people are either unaware or choose to ignore what the Anti-Vilgante Task Force is doing. The group now aggressively arrests anyone they suspect of involvement in vigilantism. Their tactics are tough and often affect people who have little or no real connection to any vigilante activity.

How Good is Daredevil Born Again?
None of the other MCU series not on Netflix has gone past three seasons.
Of all Marvel properties out there, Loki is the only one to have great success and go far beyond the first season, including the new Wonder Man, which will join Loki in that category soon, which was released earlier this year.
However, none of them produced two seasons with an average score higher than 95% by Rotten Tomatoes. Some of these rankings could potentially be contested.
For example, Ms. Marvel being the highest-rated live-action series of the MCU seems a bit unfair, while The Punisher season 1 should’ve been much better, but the fact remains.
Daredevil: Born Again deserves this name because it focuses on the repercussions of actions, making Matt Murdock face the price he will have to pay for each of his decisions. Knowing that the whole of New York has a target on its back.
Every action as Daredevil echoes in a city already tense, making Matt question the consequences of justice served. Matt can no longer make any distinction between the man and the mask.
