The hype around Coachella is always big every year, with more and more influencers and celebrities braving the heat to attend the desert extravaganza. For Coachella 2025, new security was added to monitor the event and concert goers. Unfortunately, that created more chaos than safety according to the reports going viral online. Things got real messy, real fast.
With the new security team this year, getting into Coachella itself had been a living nightmare and even took hours, causing people to sit in their cars in the extreme heat. People were running out of gas due to running their AC for prolonged amounts of time while they waited in their hot cars in line. Cars were even getting pushed off the road because of this. And speaking of… there were also reports of attendees needing to leave their cars and go to the bathroom on the side of the road or even in bushes because of waiting in line for up to 13 hours. People even labeled this “the worst Coachella” since it first opened in 1999.
The line drama didn’t stop once you actually got into the festival either… The shower situation had people demanding their money back or even leaving early, according to TikTokers and influencers. To even have access to the showers, you were required to pay $10 to get in. Once you were in, the shower space was extremely small and dirty, with people leaving hair everywhere and not cleaning up after themselves. No thank you…
James Charles, a controversial influencer, has been attending the festival for years. Charles went to Coachella 2025 as well, with nothing but complaints about his experience with the VIP section. Charles said it wasn’t organized properly and because of this, there were random people coming up to him and assaulting him and his personal space. As an influencer with money and status, even Charles was disappointed in how Coachella played out this year.
Despite the long lines and poor planning, Coachella is most known for the musical performances by headlining artists. This gives fans the chance to watch their favorite artists perform live and obsess over their Coachella stage outfits. The fashion and performances might not be enough to save Coachella next year if the complaints keep rolling in, but as of now, Coachella 2026 is already being talked about.
