Emily is your go-to for all things about plus-sized fashion…
The best time of the year is finally here! Orange and red leaves pitter-patter onto the sidewalk, the air feels just right and pumpkin spice is everything nice. For all the other cute and stylish plus-sized fashionistas curating fall fits, going out to add new items to your wardrobe is taxing, especially when no stores carry larger than an XXL or only offer ill-fitting sweaters. That’s why I’m back to recommend you five fall fits to add to your closet. The best part? You can have them shipped from Amazon instead of wasting time going to different malls.
Smart & Hip at the Office

As a 20-something-year-old, nothing makes me snore louder than a boring work fit! While some people prefer pantsuits, blazers and tucked-in button-downs, I prefer to slip on a skirt with some booties. It’s youthful while maintaining a sense of professionalism. For this fall outfit, head over to SOLY HUX on Amazon to find this black floral midi skirt, which comes in six other patterns and goes up to a size 5x. Pair it with a cream turtle neck and some silver hoops, adding one of my staple pieces – a Chelsea boot– to complete the look. The best part about these boots is that the ankles are made of stretchy material so yours don’t have to suffocate.
Add a Pinch of Emily in Paris

Berets, plaid skirts and Paris have been trending in fall outfits for quite some time, especially with the popularity of Emily in Paris. Incorporating a green cardigan with a brown beret, you can add a sprinkle of her style to this fall-themed fit which also includes an orange plaid skirt, brown boots (wide calf, of course) and the viral canvas purse circulating through TikTok (apparently, it can hold more than you might expect). The cardigan and skirt go up to a size 5x and the boots range from a size 6-12. What’s even better is that they set you up for a variety of fall fits, as the skirt comes in 15 different colors and styles.
Time Travel With Some 90s Whimsigoth

Though lesser known, Whimsigoth is my personal favorite style to wear out of these fall fits. It weaves together whimsical and gothic vibes while keeping a moody and dark vibe. Celestial and floral patterns reminiscent of the 90s are integral to this aesthetic and black is the go-to color. Make this style your own by pairing it with a black leather jacket and maxi skirt. Tie it off with some classic combat boots, a tote bag and gold earrings if you’re feeling extra.
If you plan on getting this fit from Amazon, know that the skirt and jacket go up to a size 3x and the boots are available is sizes 5-11. Feel free to create multiple fall fits too, as they come in different colors.
“Saddle Up!”, But Make it Trendy

Another one of my favorite looks and emerging trends is western-boho. Cowboy boots have been making a comeback as versatile yet unique shoes that go great with bootcut jeans. Bell-sleeve tops go even better with bootcut jeans, as they both flare out for that subtle 70s vibe.
Couple these clothes with a statement necklace, crossbody bag and a range of bohemian earrings and you’re ready to sway those hips down the street and lasso anyone into a date. This red top comes in sizes large to 4x, the Levis in sizes 2-28 and the boots in women’s 5-12 with sizes for wide feet too.
Casual Day at the Bookstore

Last up on our fall fits we have a casual and comfy sweater-pant set for running errands, checking out bookstores and getting coffee. If you’re someone who prefers baggy pants and some sneakers, this one is for you. These plus-size utility pants come in eight shades and range from 1-5x, making them big girl exclusive. Cropped sweaters are also in and this one from Floerns has the most complementary earth tones. It’s available in eight patterns and up to a size 4x.
To add some flair to this fall outfit, you can pair it with some converse, or these knock-off ones if you’re trying to save a buck. A cute sun necklace and you’re ready to pile up your tote bag with your new fall reading list.
Speaking of fall reading lists, have you checked out ours? If not, what are you doing? Go take a look at our list of new books from your favorite authors releasing this season!
