We don’t mean to bring the mood down by mentioning school… We know, we know! But even though we’re only in July, heading back to school will happen faster than you think. It’s never too early to stock up on school supplies, so there’s no anxiety for the new school year. Success comes from great preparation, so let us help you prep with the right school supplies that sell fast!

Textbooks
If we could say this with a large speaker phone, we would! Textbooks are one of the most in-demand school supplies that sell out like crazy. Most teachers require a specific edition for their class too, so older versions won’t be useful. We know it’s a bummer looking at school books during your summer break, but you won’t regret securing the right books for each class. A great resource for finding textbooks is Thriftbooks. ThriftBooks offers new books, as well as used books, for a more affordable option. Textbooks rack up money fast, so this is a great place to start!

Writing Supplies
Another fast-selling school supply is anything writing-related. Every student needs basic pencils, pens, and markers, so they fly off the shelves even as early as July. Make sure your teachers don’t require special pencils or highlighters for their class assignments, and if they do, Amazon has an unlimited amount of writing supplies for every occasion. You can also find erasers, sticky notes, and organizers. Most of these come in a bulk size too, so they’ll last you all school year long!

Bookbags
Speaking of expensive, book bags are a pricey but necessary school supply. Most students use their bags to express their personality, so picking out your preferred bag early is important! If you get your book bag ahead of the game, this also gives you a chance to make sure all of your books and supplies fit inside before school starts. Target has a really trendy selection of book bags for both boys and girls!

Clothes
Not much of a school supply, but starting the school year with a new wardrobe sets the tone for the whole year. The first day outfit holds so much pressure, and you want to look your best so you feel your best! Don’t wait until the last week of summer vacation to find your dream outfit because everything will be picked over and scarce. Start browsing through the stores this month while there are still summer clothes being displayed. Depending on where you live, most malls and stores transition into their fall clothing lines as early as August.
Entering a new school year is daunting enough as it is, so entering it well-prepared can take off some of that stress! Thinking about school is the last thing you want on your mind during summer break, so don’t overthink it! Just make sure you have everything you need so you can spend the rest of your summer enjoying yourself without the back-to-school anxiety looming over your shoulder.
