Calling all Disney movie lovers: Lilo & Stitch is set to come out with a live action on May 23, 2025! The live action will star Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Sydney Agudong as her sister, Nani, Chris Sanders as Stitch, Billy Magnussen as Pleakley, Zach Galifianakis as Jumba, and many more beloved characters of the classic Disney film.

The anxiously awaited live action Lilo & Stitch has amassed a whopping 158 million views just with its live-action trailer from Disney. The film’s trailer takes second to the live-action The Lion King, released back in 2019. Directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, the live action will be following the original plot of the animated Lilo & Stitch, including its important themes of unity, family, and love.
All About Maia Kealoha as Lilo!
So, who is going to play Stitch’s partner in crime in Lilo & Stitch? Eight-year-old Maia Kealoha is casted to play Lilo in the live-action. Born in Hawaii, the young actress has stolen the hearts of many fans across the internet with her warm and energetic personality.
During a sit-down interview with Entertainment Tonight, Kealoha is asked how long it took to learn all of her lines. Kealoha adorably answered, “It didn’t really take me that long because I love to read. I’m serious. Everyday. I finish two books in one day.”
The interviewer also commented on the perks of show business, including getting nails and hair done. The Lilo & Stitch star, who was eating a snow cone, excitedly agreed: “Uh-huh!”
In another recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Kealoha shared her aspirations for becoming an actress at only the age of five! As she spoke about seeing the audition for Lilo on TV, the young actress exclaimed, “This thing on the news said: here is the audition for Lilo. I’m like, yes! Yes! My dreams have come true!”
