Sevyn Streeter traveled to Chicago this weekend to empower thousands of women at The Black Women’s Expo. I met with the singer songwriter backstage before her performance.
Sevyn cultivated her voice in church as a young girl. She found inspiration from iconic voices in gospel, R&B and pop.
The 26-year-old has already lent her pen to tracks for an elite roster of R&B players including Chris Brown, Brandy, Kelly Rowland, Alicia Keys and Estelle. –Sevyn Streeter FB
I got a chance to talk to her about the release of her album, her music and more.
