Fall is in full swing in Chicago! The leaves are changing, and Halloween is right around the corner. As the temperatures drop and the colder months approach, now is the perfect time to enjoy the fall weather and participate in some fall-related events. Before the chilly weather sets in, here’s a list of things happening in Chicago right now.

Jack’s Pumpkin Pop-Up

When: Now open until November 3rd

Returning for its seventh year, Jack’s Pumpkin Pop-Up offers Chicago’s largest corn maze, photo opportunities, beverages, treats (like their famous apple cider donut), carnival games, and a selection of over 10,000 pumpkins in their pumpkin patch! Jack’s is open to all ages and makes for a great fall family outing.

Nightmare on Clark Street

Where: 3505 N Clark Street, Chicago IL

When: Now open until November 3rd

This immersive and spooky multi-level haunted house features themed cocktails from Dracula’s Blood (Vanilla liqueur sprite with a grenadine syringe) to Freddy’s Tequila (Patron Reposado tequila, Lime juice, Agave, Pineapple with fresh sliced jalapenos and salt rim). Nightmare on Clark Street is open to anyone aged 16 and up, with those under 18 requiring a guardian.

Rooftop Cinema Club

When: Now open until winter

What began in London, Rooftop Cinema Club has expanded globally, including Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Fort Worth and Chicago! They offer open-air entertainment by turning rooftops into cinematic experiences, making it perfect for a movie night. Just check which movies are playing this week and make a reservation! Rooftop Cinema Club also hosts special events like Wine Wednesdays, lawn and table games, and live music, so you can socialize with like-minded movie lovers.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Pop-Up

When: Now open until October 27th

Buffy: The Slayer Experience is calling all Buffy fans! The pop-up will be taking over Whiskey Business, a modern rustic bar known for its themed pop-ups and nostalgic feel. All guests are welcomed with a “blood bag” cocktail included with their reservation. The event offers a full recreation of Sunnydale High and extends to Whiskey Business’ rooftop which is designed to look like Restfield Graveyard. Whether you wish to become a vampire slayer yourself or you’re just a Halloween fanatic, this event is for you.

This restaurant is a great spot for a date or hanging out with friends. You can choose from a variety of mouth-watering milkshakes at their shakebar, such as the “Chocolate Nirvana” (a chocolate Oreo Shake topped with a double chocolate donut hole, double chocolate marshmallow, & chocolate chip cookie). They also offer a variety of cocktails and brunch items and during Halloween, Jojo’s is hosting a pumpkin patch event where you can paint pumpkins while enjoying fall-themed food and drinks from chicken pot pie to pumpkin spiced lattes!
