These last few months have already rocked the cinematic world with new book to movie adaptations. The year started with the Netflix adaptation of Fool Me Once released in January, and A Gentleman in Moscow and Dune: Part Two hitting theaters in March. Just last week, The Tattooist of Auschwitz and Turtles All the Way Down made it to the big screen. With more exciting showings to come, here are upcoming book to film adaptations to keep an eye on.

Romancing Mister Bridgerton by Julia Quinn: May 25
Bridgerton returns this May with an adaptation the fourth book in the series: Romancing Mister Bridgerton. With Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington continuing as the main character leads, this season of Shonda Rhimes‘s Neflix show will drop in two parts. The first half of the season releases on May 25 with the second to follow on June 13.

The Watchers by A.M. Shine: June 7
A young artist is trapped in an uncharted, dark forest in Ireland. Upon finding shelter, she meets three strangers. Every night, the group is stalked by mysterious creatures. This chilling horror film adaptation is directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan, daughter of director M. Night Shyamalan and set to hit theaters on June 7.

Queenie by Candace Carty-Williams: June 7
Featuring Dionne Brown and Samuel Adewunmi, Queenie is a novel following a British-Jamaican woman through a not-so-good year. This homely and heartwarming film about love and identity will premiere on Hulu on June 7.

Presumed Innocent by Scott Turow: June 14
His debut novel, Scott Turow brings a legal thriller about a prosecutor charged with the murder of his colleague, an attractive and intellectual fellow prosecutor. This adaptation will release globally on June 14 as an eight-episode TV series on Apple TV+ featuring Jake Gyllenhaal.

It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover: June 21
This 2016 novel by hit romance author Colleen Hoover is set to hit the big screen this summer on June 21. Lily, played by Blake Lively, believes she’s found true love when she married Ryle, played by Justin Baldoni. But when an accident triggers past trauma, Lily has to decide if her marriage can last. Things only become more complicated when Lily’s first love returns into her life.

Uglies by Scott Westerfeld: Mid-September
This hit YA dystopian series by Scott Westerfeld is set to premiere the first book Uglies as an adaptation on Netflix in mid-September. More details are yet to come, but we do know the film features actors Joey King from The Kissing Booth and Chase Stokes from the TV series Outer Banks.

Here by Richard McGuire: November
Here started out as a 6-page comic strip published by Richard McGuire in 1989. In 2010, McGuire announced the upcoming graphic novel inspired by the strip, and it was published in December 2014. The upcoming 2024 film adaptation is an American drama directed by Robert Zemeckis of Forest Gump and stars Tom Hanks and Robin Wright.

The Perfect Couple by Elin Hilderbrand: TBA
This beach-read author is famous for her Nantucket murder mysteries. Elin Hilderbrand‘s The Perfect Couple is scheduled to be adapted as a movie this year, with a release date yet to be set. The thrilling plot includes past characters from other Nantucket cases, but even newcomers to Hilderbrand’s series can enjoy the film.
