One of my favorite months is here, which means I can finally pull out my cozy sweaters, cardigans and trench coats. Collecting such a variety of layering pieces was no easy task, as spending hours sweating in a crowded and messy thrift store was typical for my plus-size shopping experience.
That’s why I’m starting a new series covering all things plus-size, from fashion recs to product reviews. Welcome to the Fashion That Fits! Today we’ll be covering five trendy and warm coats your closet needs this fall.
FullBeauty Brands Pleather Trench Coats
Technically, this first recommendation is two jackets, but I’m putting them together because they’re from the same parent brand and are the same style. This black faux leather trench coat and its red, crocodile-textured counterpart are staple cold-weather layering pieces.
The black jacket is from Eloquii and the red is from Dia, both owned by FullBeauty Brands. They both come in sizes 14-32, with the black coat at $59 and the red on sale for $55.
Macy’s Tan Corduroy Jacket
Corduroy has been in for a while, giving outfits a vintage spunk from the 70s. This Macy’s jacket has a 4.4 star rating and can be perfectly paired with a dress or some jeans, as it’s shorter. It comes in black too and ranges from 16w-28w, with the price being $59.50.
Old Navy Army Green Car Coat
Run, don’t walk to Old Navy (or its website) to snag this trench coat on sale for $48. The army green goes great with brown and rusty orange. Even a deep purple could make a trendy statement. This jacket runs from sizes XS to 4x and is rated nearly five stars out of its 1000+ reviews.
Fashion Nova Pleather Bomber Jacket
I love a good fur accent on my jackets, and this one is no different. For $50, this jacket comes with a size range from XS to 3x and 4-star reviews. Not too shabby if you ask me. It comes in an army green color and black with white fur. Pair this jacket with some cargo or utility pants and you’ve got a cute streetwear fit.
City Chic’s “Grandiose” Coat
This fall jacket has got to be my favorite. You could probably even extend its use to winter, depending on where you live. It comes in four colors: tan, baby pink, black and a gorgeous deep plum. With a fancy fur trim and a-line cut, this jacket is bound to flatter your figure.
This coat is $95 and ranges from size 12-24.
Levi’s Denim Jacket
Now, I can’t wrap up this list without a high-quality denim jacket. Dark denim is in right now, especially since it’s fall. This jacket is perfect for a casual dinner and late night out, but also great for a midday snack at a café and bookstore.
It’s on sale for $45 and ranges from size 1x-4. I will say that there aren’t any reviews on it yet, but it looks promising (or maybe the model is just gorgeous).
