‘The Drama’ produced by A24 comes to theaters April 3! The dark comedy film depicts an upcoming marriage between a young couple. As the inevitable big day approaches, they explore uncomfortable conversations surrounding their relationship. The main characters, played by Robert Pattinson and Zendaya, have made recent headlines with their bridal attire during press appearances promoting the film in Paris and Los Angeles. Could these fashion statements be hinting at something more? Most interesting from the looks so far includes something old! At the 2026 Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards, she wore a vintage one-shoulder Cache flower dress. Perfect for Spring, right! That’s not all, Vogue mentions how the dress was also famously worn by Sarah Jessica Parker in 2008 during the ‘Sex and the City’ movie. Could hinting at the once-in-a-lifetime connection experienced between Carrie and her lover, Big, mean something similar in ‘The Drama’? I am expecting some drama for sure, N, Crowd!
Paris Fashion and Beyond
While the film’s debut was in Paris on March 25, the actress had no lack of that wow factor with a stunning design by Matières Fécales. I adore the airy aesthetic of this blush-colored gown! The distressed material of the fabric may be a subtle clue into the complicated relationship between the bride and her husband, as we soon shall see! The flowers cascading down the shoulder, representative of a bouquet on your wedding day, are on theme for the Spring release of the dark comedy.
