Just because Earth Day has recently passed doesn’t mean we shouldn’t still stop and smell the flowers. The summer season is just around the corner, which means endless opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and all it has to offer. We want to share some of the best ways to get in touch with nature and all of its beauty with these activity ideas!
Take a Real Walk

Yes, we know this one is obvious. But not just any walk around the block or busy neighborhood. We mean an actual walk where you can be submerged in nature and experience all of its different smells, sounds, and sights. Find a walking trail that goes deep into forests so you can hear all of the different birds singing and maybe even see wildlife out and about. Look for a big flower meadow where you can count all the bumblebees and butterflies, while smelling each flower you come across. Fully immerse yourself in nature during your walk without the loud noises of traffic and people!
Bird Watching

One of the most beautiful things about the earth is all of the different animals we get to see in nature! There are countless colors, shapes, and sizes of birds that we can observe, not to mention the pretty songs they sing all day. You can even make a game out of it and see how many species of birds you come across.
Take Your Lunch Break Outside

This one is especially for all of our office employees out there who don’t get out much during the work day. If your workplace allows, find a sunny spot outside somewhere to eat your lunch. Even if your lunch break is 30 minutes, that’s still plenty of time to soak up some sunshine and listen to the soundtrack of nature.
Painting

Not everyone is a gifted artist, we know. But you don’t have to be the next Picasso to use painting as a way to appreciate all of earth’s beauty. Pick out a tree or hillside to paint and don’t overthink it. Take note of all the different shades and hues of leaves you’ve never noticed before, or all of the flowers you see that have different amounts of petals on them. You’ll start to appreciate how much hard work goes into mother nature and look at our everyday surroundings much differently after!
